Of course, her "just like me" implied all the negative aspects. She stepped closer to him. "As for my husband, he doesn't have to know that you are back. I am the one that deals with the already deceased. Knowing Shota, he'll have escaped from Netami's experiment jar by now."
She reached up slowly, and attempted to gently draw down the hem of his hood. "Why are you hiding from me?"

Vesta shook her head. She lowered her hand when he brushed it away from his hood. "No...Netami piled so many complicated tasks onto my plate that I never got the chance to double-check his words." double checking, as in, see what he wasn't telling her about the details of what he wanted to do.

Vesta gave him a flat look, clearly not amused. "Gekido, please. Stop being so stubborn for once. Are you embarrassed to let me know or something?" She asked, and tried to gently reach for the hood again.

Vesta didn't stop at the aura. She did however, pause with her fingers grasping the material of his hood in hesitation. Her toxic colored eyes dimmed several notches in their ever-glow. "I swear to you, I will not laugh, pass comments, or any such juvenile behavior that would make you feel bad," she said. "There is no reason for embarrassment. It is just us here. You can see the semi-corpse I have become, can you not? If either of us should be embarrassed, it is me."

Vesta hesitated for just a moment. She then raised her other hand, the one of mostly bone, and placed it on the other side at the rim and then slowly lowered Gekido's hood so that she could see his face.

Words couldn't exactly describe Gekido's face now. Burns? That didn't exactly justify it. It was still human, and recognizable as such, but it was little like it once was. Similar to Vesta's skeletal appearance, only taken to a completely new level, without actually being just a skull and eyeballs, which would have ended up being just plain comical. "You can't heal injuries inflicted on a SOUL Vesta." Gekido stated clearly.

Vesta couldn't help but let out a tiny, quiet squeak of a gasp at what happened to him. It looked so painful...she assumed that the "burn"-like degrees of searing and tearing must still be painful. Vesta frowned openly as she gently reached out her fleshed hand to touch his cheek. Since we're all on the spiritual plane here, there's no reason why that shouldn't be manageable. "It depends on the extent of the injuries, Gekido. It looks graftable, I think I can get rid of these (at least a good portion of it) with a bit of hard work. I've practiced much since you've been gone."

Vesta sighed a bit, her hand still softly touching his cheek with care. "Gekido, you are not listening to me. Like usual. As much as I have worked with the mortal shell, I have done a lot of work with the soul as well. You've already experienced the fact that I can split a soul. I can graft materia and have made artificial souls in the past as well."
